Privacy policy
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Codebrew Software Ltd collects through this website, why, and what your rights are.
Who we are
This website is run by Codebrew Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16267444), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us at hello@codebrewsoftware.co.uk.
What we collect
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to collect information about how you use the site: the pages you visit, how long you stay, the website that referred you, your approximate location (country or city), and your device, browser and operating system. We don't use it to identify you personally.
If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you include in your message, and use them to reply.
Our web server keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies
We only set analytics cookies if you accept them in the cookie banner. Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID, which last up to two years. If you reject them, no analytics cookies are set. We store your choice in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every page. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Legal basis
We use analytics only with your consent. We reply to emails and keep server logs because we have a legitimate interest in answering enquiries and running a secure website.
Who we share it with
Google processes analytics data on our behalf and may transfer it outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. You can read Google's privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy. We don't sell your information or share it with anyone else unless the law requires us to.
Links to other sites, such as Steam, YouTube, X, Bluesky and Instagram, are covered by those sites' own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months. Emails are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry. Server logs are deleted after a short period.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To do any of these, email hello@codebrewsoftware.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at https://ico.org.uk.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
